Community Living Advisory Council - DPW

This Council ( The CLAC) advises the Department of Public Welfare on issues related to the Independence Waiver, the OBRA Waiver, the Attendant Care Waiver, Attendant Care Act 150, and the CommCare Waiver. Meetings are held every other month from 9:30am to 4:00pm in Harrisburg. PA. The CLAC is attended by Dan Rohrback, Jr. More volunteers are needed, especially those receiving services through the CommCare (traumatic brain injury) Waiver. Home and Community Based Services Stakeholder Planning Team - DPW

This Team advises DPW on all state issues impacting all persons with disabilities who are receiving state services. Meetings are held every other month from 10:00am to 3:00pm, in Harrisburg, PA, with lunch included. This Team ( The SPT) is attended by Cheryl Dougan, John Pistorius, and Barbara Dively. The HCBS SPT Brain Injury Work Group - DPW

This Workgroup was charged by Secretary Estelle Richman with developing an ideal system to serve persons of all ages who are affected by brain injury. The report of this group, The Brain Injury Recovery Blueprint, was approved by The SPT on 08/25/2007.  This Work Group has been attended by Brenda Eagan Brown, Denny Byrne, Barbara Dively, Cheryl Dougan,  C.B. Miller, Mike Miller, Joseph Neve, Maureen Neve, Dan Rohrback, Jr., Caroll Rottmund, Pat Strenk, Kim Wolf, and Donald Zeigler. Next, a BIWG subgroup worked on adding Support Brokers to the CommCare Waiver. This subgroup included Jackie Culbertson, Cheryl Dougan, Kristin Ahrens, and Barb Dively.

Traumatic Brain Injury Advisory Board - DOH

This Board coordinates brain injury efforts across departments and within the Department of Health. This Board is chaired by Mike Miller and funded by a federal TBI Act Grant to the Department of Health.  Please email Mike Miller at mjmiller@epix.net to get on the mailing list for meetings.
