MISSION
ABIN-PA is a nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization of brain injury survivors and family members dedicated to increasing public awareness about acquired brain injury and to providing support, education, information, advocacy and other services for individuals with acquired brain injury and their families.

2012 ABIN-PA ANNUAL ANNIVERSARY LUNCHEON - CROWNE PLAZA PHILADELPHIA WEST

Forty-five persons attended our second Annual Anniversary Luncheon on May 18, 2013. This was ABIN-PA's 6th anniversary and the Luncheon was repeated as it was so enthusiastically enjoyed last year. The location on City Avenue permited those using ParaTransit from Montgomery and Philadelphia Counties to avoid any transfers.

We enjoyed music by Karl Williams (hear his songs and read his story in 'Our Stories"). We learned about progress in assistive technology for people with disabilities from Amy Goldman of Temple's Institute for People with Disabilities and Susan Tachau of the Pennsylvania Assistive Technology Foundation which provides loans at extremely low monthly payments if public funding is not available. Barbara Dively, ABIN-PA's President and Executive Director, presented the Year in Review and was our moderator.
